1. Purchase gasoline at the coolest time of day, generally early morning or late evening. At this time, gasoline is at its densest. Gas pumps gauge volumes of gasoline, not densities of fuel concentration.

2. Select the kind and make of gasoline wisely. Specific brands offer you superior economy because of enhanced quality. Purchase the brand that “appears” most useful.

3. Steer clear of filling your gas tank to top. Overfilling will cause the gasoline to slosh over and out of the tank. If the nozzle is automatic do not fill it any more past the first click, this is a good indicator on when to stop pumping.

4. Look online before heading out to fill your tank, there are numerous websites that list the current gasoline prices, shopping around and doing your research will save you money.
