Save money with 0% interest credit cards

Transferring a balance on one credit card with a higher interest rate to a new card with little to no interest, allows you to free yourself from paying on never ending interest rates. To correctly do this you need to have two extremely important things, a great credit score and a great amount of discipline.

There are 3 steps - they may seem easy however as mentioned above it does take a great amount of discipline and planning to get the most out of what every card has to offer.

1. Get a 0% purchases card
A 0% purchase card is a card with 0% interest for a specific amount of time, you can use for everyday expenses.

2. Ensure you make the repayments
The 0% interest simply means you will pay for only the amount you have spent; you will not be paying any extra for interest rates. Do keep in mind that many cards may have fines for not paying on time and you may loose your 0% interest rate. Therefore, it is extremely important to pay at the very least the minimum due and on or before the due date to ensure you do not jeopardize the great interest rate.

3. Move or repay the debt before your 0% period ends.
Once your introductory rate of 0% ends your interest rate will jump to the standard APR, this can range anywhere from 10-20%. This is the time when you should clear the card or transfer the debt to a new card with a 0% balance transfer offer. If at the end of the introductory period of 0% interest rate on the new card is up before your debt is paid off, transfer it again to a new card with the same 0% balance transfer offer.

The above strategy is the best, cheapest way to eliminate your credit card debt, if you do not keep up on managing and tracking your balances and transfers, it could take only a matter of a couple months to acquire unnecessary debt with interest rates, and all your previous work will have been for nothing.
